Jessica Sommers

Jessica Sommers is her 2nd year with SYE and she coaches our "Red" Team. Coach Sommers is a hometown girl who graduated from Wagner HS and then continued her basketball career at Southwestern Louisiana. She is now the Girl's Basketball Coach at George Gervin Academy. Coach Sommers is also working on a doctorate in psychology! She aspires to be a college coach someday.

Jasmine Jackson

Coach Jasmine Jackson is 23 years old and currently a graduate student at the University of the Incarnate Word. She is pursuing a Masters of Science and Education is in Kinesiology with a concentration in Public Health. She has a bachelors degree is in Kinesiology with a minor in nutrition. Jasmine was a three sport athlete from 7th to 12th grade, playing basketball, soccer and running track.  Sh

Shanesha Clayton

Shanesha Clayton was one of the founding players of the SYE program. She graduated from Highlands High School in 2011 and went on to play at the college level at Cisco junior college. Coach Clayton is in her first year of coaching with our SYE program. She is the coach of the Pink team this season.

Adra Brown

Adra Brown is in her first season to the SYE coaching staff. Coach Brown is joining us from Indianapolos where she has 10 years of coaching experience under her belt. She coach boys AAU for a few years until she ventured back into coaching girls. She brings a lot of experience to SYE program and is the coach for the Gold team this season. She has 2 awesome kids, loves music, art, and dogs.

Christiana Phillips

Christiana Phillips grew up in a military family as only child. She went to Ellison High School in Kileen Texas. She knows the value of hard work where she made the Stephen F Austin State women's basketball team as a walk on. She graduated with a bachelors in History and attained a Masters degree in Curriculum and Instruction, Education from the University of Phoenix. She currently teaches and coa

Sophia Young

Sophia Young is the owner and founder of Sophia Young Elite Basketball. She was selected by San Antonio in the first round (4th overall) of the 2006 WNBA Draft and played 10 season in the WNBA for the San Antonio Stars. She then retired in 2015. She is currently married to Jermaine Malcolm and living in San Antonio.
